Kevin Inman Ministries

Kevin Inman is the host of CONTENDER’S RADIO, where we strive to proclaim the glory of the one true God and contend for the faith.

Beloved, while I was making every effort to write you about our common salvation, I felt the necessity to write to you appealing that you contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all handed down to the saints. 4 For certain persons have crept in unnoticed, those who were long beforehand marked out for this condemnation, ungodly persons who turn the grace of our God into licentiousness and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.”                                    Jude 3,4

Hurricane Harvey-How Can You Help?

Grace Point at Eagle Heights Church, the oversight ministry of Contender`s Radio, sustained moderate water damage during Hurricane Harvey. Worse, many of the families of the church lost everything, and most, if not all, were affected.

Due to the inability of GPEH to receive online donations at this time, Contender`s Radio will be accepting donations on the church’s behalf.

If you are moved to help, please be confident that your donation will go directly to the cleanup and rebuilding efforts of Grace Point at Eagle Heights Church and members.

The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the Cornerstone of the Christian Faith

The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the cornerstone of the Christian Faith.

As the Apostle Paul stated, “If Christ has not been raised, your faith is worthless; you are still in your sins” (1 Corinthians 15:17). Christianity is NOT blind faith!  Dr. Greenleaf, the Royal Professor of Law at Harvard University, was one of the greatest legal minds that ever lived. He wrote the famous legal volume entitled, A Treatise on the Law of Evidence, considered by many the greatest legal volume ever written. Dr. Simon Greenleaf believed the Resurrection of Jesus Christ was a hoax. And he determined, once and for all, to expose the “myth” of the Resurrection. After thoroughly examining the evidence for the resurrection — Dr. Greenleaf came to the exact opposite conclusion! He wrote a book entitled, An Examination of the Testimony of the Four Evangelists by the Rules of Evidence Administered in the Courts of Justice. In which he emphatically stated:

“it was impossible that the apostles could have persisted in affirming the truths they had narrated, had not JESUS CHRIST ACTUALLY RISEN FROM THE DEAD, . . .”
(Simon Greenleaf, An Examination of the Testimony of the Four Evangelists by the Rules of Evidence Administered in the Courts of Justice, p.29).

Have you considered the evidence for the death and resurrection of Jesus? Here are a few points to consider:

Walking Worthy of Your Calling-2

1 Thessalonians 2:12; 4:1-8

In our text from Sunday Paul calls for the Thessalonians to behave in a way that is suitable to their calling as followers of Christ.

In 1 Thessalonians 2:12 & 1 Thessalonians 4:1 we saw that our goal as Christians is to live the kind of life that is pleasing to God. Verses 2 -6 continue this theme:

For you know what commandments we gave you by the authority of the Lord Jesus. For this is the will of God, your sanctification; that is, that you abstain from sexual immorality; that each of you know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in lustful passion, like the Gentiles who do not know God; and that no man transgress and defraud his brother in the matter because the Lord is the avenger in all these things, just as we also told you before and solemnly warned you.         1 Thessalonians 4:2-6

THE LORD’S COMMANDS LEAD US UNTO SANCTIFICATION -4:2-6

God calls us to be sanctified. To sanctify means to set apart for divine use.

As William MacDonald points out,

In one sense, all believers have been set apart from the world to the service of the Lord; this is known as positional sanctification, and it is perfect and complete (1 Cor. 1:2; Heb. 10:10). However, in another sense, believers should sanctify themselves, that is, they should separate themselves from all forms of sin; this is known as practical or progressive sanctification. It is a process that will continue until the believer’s death or the Lord’s return. It is this latter use of the word that is found in verse 3.

[MacDonald, W. (1995). Believer’s Bible Commentary: Old and New Testaments. (A. Farstad, Ed.) (p. 2035). Nashville: Thomas Nelson.]
A comprehensive definition of sanctification by the New Hampshire Baptist Confession (1833) states,

We believe that Sanctification is the process by which, according to the will of God, we are made partakers of his holiness;

Walking Worthy of Your Calling-1

1 Thessalonians 2:124:1-8

Are you acting like a Christian??? Is your life pleasing to God? Christians are supposed to act like Christians!  We are to follow the example of our Lord Jesus Christ.

the one who says he abides in Him ought himself to walk in the same manner as He walked. 1 John 2:6

In our text from Sunday Paul calls for the Thessalonians to behave in a way that is suitable to their calling as followers of Christ.

Finally then, brethren, we request and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, that as you received from us instruction as to how you ought to walk and please God (just as you actually do walk), that you excel still more. For God has not called us for the purpose of impurity, but in sanctification. So, he who rejects this is not rejecting man but the God who gives His Holy Spirit to you.          1 Thessalonians  4:1-8

What Are The Odds?

Messianic Prophecy – What Are The Odds of Fulfillment Without God?
Messianic Prophecy is so powerful because of the statistical odds that one man would fulfill every single one of them. If we just analyze seven of the more specific prophecies in the Old Testament, that were later fulfilled in the Person of Jesus Christ, we are stunned by the statistical impossibility of such an historical reality. As an …

Former New Ager Warren Smith Explains That The “Jesus” of Bestseller Jesus Calling Is Not The Jesus of the Bible

Ladies, do you have friends who have been taken in by the über popular book Jesus Calling? You almost can’t miss this book, which has been a bestseller on Christian book lists for several months now, and has spawned many derivatives: devotionals, teen and children’s versions, even a study Bible. But is it a biblically sound book?

Former New Ager Former New Ager Warren Smith says “no,” it’snot a biblically sound book, and explains in an interview on Stand Up For The Truth radio that the channeled entity in Jesus Calling is NOT the Jesus of the Bible, but a demonic counterfeit instead.
